Archimandrite Abba Gebre Eyesus Wolde Samuel
Archimandrite Abba Gebre Eyesus Wolde Samuel was born in Gondar Ethiopia in the year 1976. He received his high school education and went on to study the order of monastic life at Abuna Samuel Waldeba Monastery. He then journeyed to Addis Ababa to finish his studies. He achieved a college diploma and a diploma in Human Resource. He also served in different churches and monasteries in Addis Ababa.
In the year 2013 Abba Gebre Eyesus Wolde Samuel came to the Archdiocese of the Caribbean and Latin America under the guidance and leadership of Archbishop His Grace, Abuna Thaddaeus. HE then became priest in charge of St. Mary’s Parish in Antigua and Barbuda and also of the diocese of Guyana. In 2017 he was appointed Head Administrator of the Archdiocese of the Caribbean and Latin America by the Holy Synod in Ethiopia.
Abba Gebre Eyesus Wolde Samuel wishes, if God permit him, is to serve under His Grace Abuna Thaddaeus and to follow his good example and to walk in his footsteps.
May God give him wisdom and strength to accomplish his missions and help the people of the Caribbean and Latin America.
